Wet and Exhausted - Dazed and Confused

Bank Holiday Monday saw torrential downpours and thousands of people braving it for the Cork City Marathon.

FireSale’s own Israel was among them and pushed through the rain to complete the gruelling 26.2 miles in 5 hours.

Rather him than me!

Home stretch - almost there

One of the Directors of FireSale.ie – Israel Finnerty – is running in the Cork City Marathon this bank holiday Monday.

He’s only been training for 6 weeks but he says hes confident he can finish the whole 26 miles, rather him than me!

I’ll be back with some photos of him hopefully crossing the finish line.

All weekend the RDS was buzzing with entrepreneurs of all ages showing off their business ideas and designs.

We borrowed Optumus Prime for an unmissable photo plug

Dragons were roaming, stuff was been given away and even Optimus Prime was getting in on the action.

One of the original Dragons from the UK series, Doug Richards (the American) was there and I must say he is one of the funniest and smartest men I have ever heard speak. Look him up on YouTube if you get a chance.

We got loads of feedback for the site so expect to see a few subtle changes in the coming weeks.

This Friday 23rd and Friday 24th The Entrepenuer Show will be held in the RDS – as seen on everyones favouriite The Late Late Show

Firesale will be amongst 100 exhibitors all showing their wares.

Speakers include the Dragons Den personalities of Gavin Duffy, Sean Gallagher, Niall O’Farrell and Bobby Kerr.

Oddly enough it will be Co-Founder of Firesale – Dawn’s Birthday on the Saturday which is also the day weve signed up for an “Invest Test” Session with the Dragons. – Happy Birthday Dawn, she doesnt know that Ive signed her up for it yet. Everyone likes a surprise!
